Go Beyond the Summit – The Design Story Behind Our Rebrand

Working Out The Words

Change management. Digital transformation. Two phrases that mean less every year. The work they describe hasn't. For more than a year, the team at Elevate Digital has been working through what those words actually mean to us — iterating until the brand could activate the story the site needed to carry.

 

The conviction to do the work right came from the people doing the work. The internal team — Creative Director, Strategist, UX designers, Content — carried the discovery, strategy, and iteration through 2025. New leaders joined mid-process and shaped where it landed. And when the system was ready for its final eye, we brought in Samuel Marksheid as the designer partner to give us the visual unlock that completed it.

The Final Eye

As he put it: "They weren't starting from scratch. They had a solid brand, but it felt stuck in another era." The challenge, in his words, was "to evolve it without losing what made it familiar." The work the team had already done gave him something specific to articulate.

What he did gave us the cipher we'd been reaching for to develop the visual model and round out the language system. He approached the design with what he called "restraint and intention" — modernizing the logo while keeping its core shape, refining and merging its elements. He rebuilt the color system around depth, contrast, and energy. He rethought the typography — cleaner, sharper, more unique. And he introduced a visual language that didn't exist before: inspired by the aurora.
